While you can pre-order the new iPhone 16e outright from Apple for $899, you can also get the device from most carriers in Canada, though the price might be a little higher.

The phone is up for pre-order now but goes on sale Friday, February 28, so it might take a little while for all the carriers to post pricing. You’ll find the carriers who have 16e pricing listed below, but make sure to check back as we’ll continue adding providers when they launch pricing.

Telus has the iPhone 16e up for pre-orders and anyone looking to get the phone from the Vancouver-based national carrier will also get a $240 bill credit that can be applied to an Apple Watch Series 10.

If you plan to bring the phone back to Telus after two years, you can pay $26 per month, but if you want to own the phone, it will be $38.50. On top of that, the lowest-cost plan is $80 for 125GB with 5G speeds.

This leaves the cheapest monthly cost at $106 per month or $2,544 over two years, and that includes returning the phone. If you want to own the phone, it will cost $118 per month for a total of $2,832.

At Teslus’ flanker brand, you can get the iPhone 16e for $0 upfront and then $38.50 per month for two years. You’ll also need to pay $15 for shipping and $10 for a SIM card.

The lowest-cost plan available is $49 per month for 60GB of 4G data. If you want a cheaper plan, you’ll need to buy the phone outright and switch to a bring-your-own-device plan.

Overall, the average cost of a 16e and a plan at Koodo will be $92.50 per month or $2,220 over two years.

Pre-ordering the iPhone 16e from Freedom also gets you a second one for $0 as long as both phones are on $59 per month plans and you buy them in stores.

If you just want to return the phone in two years it costs $25 per month and if you want to own the phone outright its $37.46 per month.

The lowest cost plan you can get with this phone is $39 for 60GB of 5G CAN/U.S./Mexico data. However, this plan won’t qualify for the buy-one-get-one deal mentioned above.

At the end of the day, the phone will cost you $99 upfront and $59.88 per month for two years for a total cost of $1,437 if you plan to return it over two years. If you want to own it forever, the monthly cost is $72.33 for a total two-year cost of $1,735.

Like Freedom, Videotron offers the iPhone 16e for $25 per month if you return it after two years. Owning the phone costs $37.50.

The base-level plan will set you back $60 per month for 55GB. These also include 100GB of bonus data you can use throughout the year and 5G+ data speeds.

This leaves you with a monthly cost of $85 ($2,040 over two years) if you plan to return the phone and $97.50 ($2,340) if you want to own it.

The iPhone 16e is $0 upfront at $16.67 per month for the 128
GB model on a two-year term. However, the lowest cost plan is $82, so the overall price of the phone at the end of two years will be $2,368
